I know this sounds extremely trivial, but this unsuspecting arcade game from Japanese toy company Nintendo would go on to cause a seismic shock in the industry merely 4 years later. Overall, this game, no, this experience is absolutely incredible, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a game.
Just jumping around the Comet Observatory (the hub world) feels like I'm in my own Disneyland just because of the music. Ohh, the music! It is absolutely phenomenal. The physics are just amazing! It is so fun just to move around and triple jump and wall kick and long jump and it just feels so nice! The graphics, theme, and atmosphere are amazing! The stars and the space background look so nice! The colors are so bright and vibrant! And then comes the music. The controls may seem bad the first few levels, because of using the pointer, but when you get used to it, they are super good. My dream came true when Super Mario 3D Allstars came out, and I could finally play it. I don't have a Wii, and I saw this game on YouTube, and thought that it looked super cool. The physics are just amazing! It is so fun Yeah, this is my favorite game of all time. Yeah, this is my favorite game of all time. But the innovativeness with the gravity, the launch stars and much more make this deserve its 97. Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 64 sometimes dance over this game. I felt very frustrated racing the boo on the switch. The spinning is sometimes inaccurate, same thing with the pointer. The controls are not at their best though. The hub world lights up as you play it, the music just fills you with immediate joy. As a person who's played it on both the Nintendo Switch and Wii, this game is something I will never forget. The gameplay is nothing short of captivating, whether it’s chiselling through planets of molten rock to trying brave the swift winds of a garden, the game will never let you go and always has the same fun, exciting spirit when you pick it up. A stellar storyline that makes you care for the characters, a cosmic setting/atmosphere, various and unique power-ups that grant the player different abilities, a delightful soundtrack and so much more. The gameplay is nothing short of captivating, whether it’s chiselling through planets of molten rock to trying brave the swift winds of a Even years later, the game is still legendary.
